Kaidi Ruusalepp is the Impact & Venture Partner at Venturewave Capital, advising on sustainability, digital innovation, and venture strategies. She is also the Founder of Venturebeam (formerly Funderbeam), a leading online investment bank serving tech investors through investments and secondaries. Under her leadership, Venturebeam has become a globally recognised platform enabling investors from over 129 countries to fund and trade equity in private companies. She was named Europe’s Best Fintech Startup in 2017. The platform integrates impact scoring to ensure alignment with social and environmental objectives.
Previously, Kaidi was CEO of Nasdaq Tallinn Stock Exchange and Central Securities Depository (2005–2012), significantly enhancing Estonia’s financial market operations and global capital market presence. She co-authored Estonia’s landmark Digital Signatures Act of 2000, foundational legislation securing digital identities and facilitating the country’s electronic economy.
Kaidi actively contributes to strategic policymaking as a member of the Digital Council of the President of Estonia and as President of the Estonian Founders Society, promoting Estonia as a global innovation hub. She also co-founded the Estonian Service Industry Association, advocating for Estonia’s growing service sector.
A champion of impact investing, Kaidi integrates ESG metrics into her ventures to drive sustainable development. She is a dedicated advocate for gender diversity, actively mentoring women in technology and venture capital. Her substantial contributions have earned consistent recognition, including Europe’s Top 50 Most Influential Women in Startups and Venture Capital for six consecutive years, Entrepreneur of the Year (2018, Technology Playmaker Awards), and Person of the Year (2016, Estonian ICT Association).
Kaidi holds a law degree from the University of Tartu, Estonia. She remains actively involved in sports coaching, particularly orienteering, and is passionate about innovation, finance, and policy research.
