Brendan Gaffney is Managing Partner at Venturewave Capital, where he helps lead investment strategy, impact alignment, portfolio governance and international expansion. He works with partners and management teams across the investment lifecycle, applying fundamental analysis and rigorous due diligence to capital allocation and long-term value creation.
With more than 30 years of experience across venture capital, private equity and operational leadership, Brendan helped scale Blueface, the global UCaaS business acquired by Comcast Business in 2020. He later served as President of Global Cloud at Star2Star Communications during its acquisition by Sangoma Technologies in 2021. This background gives him direct experience of building international businesses, navigating major transactions and supporting organisations through periods of change.
Brendan is also a Director and Co-Founder of Venturewave Group and contributes to businesses across the wider group, including Venturebeam and Rochtaine. Across these roles, he supports leadership teams on strategy, governance and performance.
Beyond business, Brendan creates large-scale steel sculptures. His work has been exhibited in 42 museums and featured by Ripley’s Believe It or Not!. He holds a first-class honours B.B.S. and an M.A. from Trinity College Dublin.
