Michael is Managing Director at Stifel, running the Brewster Financial Strategies Group. Michael joined Stifel in January 2023. Originally from Longford, Michael immigrated to America in 1989. He joined Wells Fargo as Managing Director in March 2016 after 8 years at Credit Suisse and a previous 16 years at Lehman Brothers. He has spent 33 years managing investments for high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients. Michael is the sole manager of the MB Value Growth large cap portfolio, the MB Strategic Dividend and Income large cap portfolio and the Small Mid-Cap and Special Situations Portfolio.
Michael graduated from Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT) in Ireland with a higher diploma in Management Finance and finished his studies at Thomas Edison State University in the USA, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Michael has been recognized by many publications and media outlets during his career on Wall Street. He was one of the original founders of the Irish International Business Network in the USA, a Director of the Ireland US Council, and involved in many charitable endeavors associated with Sport and Education both here in the USA and Ireland.
