Conor Doyle BA, BL.
Conor is Chair of Doyle Shipping Group (DSG). DSG provides shipping services in six ports in Ireland.
Conor is a graduate of UCD with a BA in Economics and Politics. He also studied at Kings Inns and was called to the bar in 1969.
Among his former offices he was Chairman of Cork Port Company 1989-91, President of Cork Chamber of Cork Chamber of Commerce 1997/9, Chairman of National Sculpture Factory 2008-2017, Commodore of Kinsale Yacht Club 1983-86.
He was formerly a director of Eagle Star Insurance Company, Cork and Limerick Savings Bank and Corocadorca Theatre Company. He was Finnish Consul in Cork from 1985 to 2024. Conor has been a Board Member of Blackwater Opera Festival since 2017.
Conor is a keen sailor. He raced in the International Dragon class from 1970 to 2000. He is a former European Champion. He was Chairman of the International Dragon Association from 1985 to 1985.
Since 2000 he has been ocean racing and cruising.
